well gang, as of today it's officially been a year since our first sunday movie night... and what a year it's been! full of ups and downs, highs and lows - but overall we've been very blessed to have seen some really good movies...
i thought, just out of curiousity, we should all post what each of our favorite movie(s) of the year was/were.. the catch is it can't have been something you'd already seen...
i'll start.. mine were:
In the Mood for Love (7/9)
and
L'Atalante (11/12)

In no particular order:
City Lights
Seven Up / Seven Plus Seven
The Battle of Algiers
My list might be longer if I was coming to Movie Night consistently from day one.
10/08: A Woman Under the Influence
10/01: Wizard People, Dear Reader
My favorites:
My favorite Joe pick is probably Stolen Kisses (I credit Joe for getting me into the new wave).
My favorite Rory pick is Yi Yi, it is just a great ensemble drama.
My favorite Austin pick is Bubble (an independent movie that is actually independent, unlike most others).
My favorite Nadia pick is All About My Mother, classic Almodovar.
My favorite movie night I missed is My Live To Live. I "make up" for this missed one at home, and it is definitely going up in my top 10.
My favorite movie night pizza is Pizza Venise. My favorite movie night drink is coca-cola. My favorite movie night ice-cream is cookies n' cream. My favorite movie night drug is cocaine.
and I'm looking forward to this week.
I like Fuzzy's pizza (the place near my apartment) the best so far. The only reason I don't get it each time I am the host is because it is significantly more expensive than Domino's, etc. and I am always broke. If I can't afford it next time then I think I may get Pizza Hut since Francisco says they have a deal similar to the 5-5-5 Domino's deal. Or maybe I will get Papa John's (probably my favorite "mainstream" pizza) if they have a good deal that night.
